The 1997-98 Cleveland Cavaliers season was the 28th season of NBA basketball in Cleveland, Ohio.〔(1997-98 Cleveland Cavaliers )〕 During the offseason, Cleveland sent Terrell Brandon, and Tyrone Hill to the Milwaukee Bucks, and acquired Shawn Kemp from the Seattle SuperSonics in a three team trade. The Cavaliers finished the season with a 47-35 record, finishing 5th in the Central Division and qualifying for the Eastern Conference playoffs. Kemp led the team in scoring and rebounding. The Cavaliers would lose in four games in the first round of the playoffs to the Indiana Pacers and they would not make it back to the postseason until 2006.
